Girl Child in INDIA

India is also called as Mother India and Indian’s are great devotees of mother Goddess. Whether Indians are Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, etc all are the great devotees of their Goddess but considering the current situation of India this devotion and respect is restricted to only a few words. We all are lying with our self, playing a game with our devotion towards our Goddess. At one end we keep worshiping our Goddess and at other end we are continuously destroying the precious gift of nature “A GIRL CHILD”, Indians have dual character personalities and no one can deny on it.

It’s now time to take an initiative to keep desire that I want a baby girl child instead of praying to god that please give me a baby boy please take initiative to stop the undesirable practice of girl discrimination. Girls also have the right to enjoy, the right to freedom, right to education and right to birth as much as a boy. They must be given opportunities to explore themselves and prove their capabilities instead of keeping them at home for cooking and cleaning purpose only.

As mothers, they are also responsible for imparting values, cultural beliefs in their children. Hence, they must be educated spiritually, emotionally and intellectually so that a girl should start exploring herself instead of thinking the she is burden for this whole world.

Women are the best leader and best players of the society to bring peace, cooperation, humanity and makes the society a peaceful place to live in.

There are many harmful characters in our society who are misguiding the status of women, resulting in retarded social growth.Proper Rules and regulations must be adopted to improve the status of woman.

Once think on it and take initiative for betterment of girl’s status and hence the development of the country.

Hardest profession in INDIA

What is the hardest profession of India ?. Engineer, Doctor ?... No its to be a girl in INDIA. Its we who have decided the hardest profession by considering girl as burden through out life.

Discrimination and discrepancy are two most important factors that hamper the journey of every female from the earliest stage of life. Starting from her presence into her mother’s womb to infancy, childhood and finally to adulthood, she is outnumbered by the male dominating society of the country.

India is a country where social disadvantage outweighs natural biological advantage of being a girl. A whole range of discriminatory practices including female foeticide, female infanticide, female genital mutilation, son idolization, early marriage and dowry have buried the future of the nation. In India, discriminatory practices have greatly influenced the health and well-being of a girl child, resulting in a higher mortality rate.

It is believed that every year 12 million girls are born in the country but unfortunately only 1/3 of those survive. Some are killed in the womb, some at the time of birth, some die due to ill health and some due to poor nutritional status. Only a few numbers of girls are able to survive till their 15th birthday.

Female feticide and infanticide are the most popular social evils prevailing in the country. This evil is the outcome of poverty, illiteracy and gender discrimination. The country fails to understand, how a mother can be so ruthless and vulnerable.

Status of "Women" in INDIA

The status of women in India has been subject to many great changes over the past few millennial. Women in India continue to face atrocities such as rape, acid throwing, dowry killings while young girls are forced into prostitution; as of late rape has seen a sharp increase following several high profile cases of young girls brutally raped in public areas. According to a global poll conducted by Thomson Reuters, India is the "fourth most dangerous country" in the world for women, and the worst country for women among the G20 countries.

70% percent of Indian population doesn't even care or worry a little about women their status and their rights in INDIA. Even they don't know what Constitution of India tells about women because nobody cared ever. That constitutions are up to that piece of paper only, really it does not exists not in INDIA.

• No discrimination by the State (Article 15(1)) 
• Equality of opportunity (Article 16)
• Equal pay for equal work (Article 39(d)) 
• In addition, it allows special provisions to be made by the State in favor of women and children (Article 15(3)) 
• Renounces practices derogatory to the dignity of women (Article 51(A) (e)) 
• And also allows for provisions to be made by the State for securing just and humane conditions of work and for maternity relief. (Article 42)
